I just had a letter from DS's school about International Gateway for Gifted Youth (IGGY) and wondered if anyone had used it for their secondary age DCs? I know they charge for some of their courses and I would be interested to hear any opinions about whether they are worth it.

My daughter does Iggy Juniors and loves it, I would highly recommend it. Not sure how Iggy works but it's run by the same people so I would imagine it must be as good. Give Coral the lady who runs it a ring she's very helpful and friendly.

Hi Pixie glad he likes it I'll have to get my dd to look out for him. She wrote the poem in the last news letter - it's got her name on it so you know who she is!

Very interested to read this thread. My son (8 years old) has been doing the Plato to Playstation course (free one!) this weekend, and has been invited to join the IGGY juniors at a slightly reduced rate. He's really enjoyed the debate today, and has apparently done quite well!

I don't know that much about IGGY - just stumbled across it by chance on the net, and he was keen to do the free course just to see what it was like.

I'm thinking of signing up for a month to see how he gets on, but it's still quite pricey, despite the discount he would get, so I'm really interested to hear how others have got on with it. I must say I've been quite impressed today by the feedback and encouragement he's had from the tutors, and it seems to be something completely outside any provision he would get at school.
