I am doing a sexual health poll to see how many people have had one of the following;

Chlamydia

Herpes

Syphyllis

Ghonnorhea

HIV

Hepititis

Of course you can remain anonymous, and your answers will be of tremendous help.

? This is a strange request. It's not very scientific is it?! There are lots of statistics available about these diseases if you need them.

Yep I've had em all! Just a joke! HIV and Hepititis C are real serious. Chlamydia is the silent one that can cause infertility if not treated early. Happy to say I have never expeirenced any sexually transmitted disease. Would also add that Hepititis and HIV are not totally just Sexually transmitted.

My dh is a microbiologist who did his thesis on chlamydia. His research was carried out via Family Planning Clinics, involved clinical testing and was totally anonymous. What kind of poll is this, exactly? Is it for personal interest only - because, frankly, results gleaned from anonymous posters on a website are not going to be worth a damn, scientifically speaking.

Plus I suggest that if you intend to make a serious study of sexually transmitted diseases - you will be taken more seriously if you spell gonorrhoea and hepatitis correctly.

I keep samples of each of these in jars. Stamp collecting's boring, but disease collecting? It's the way forward.

I am actually studying part time in sexual health studies as I would like to become, eventually, a specialist or whatever and as part of my coursework I decided to do this bit of research of my own. I am already using national statistics but must do research of my own. I understand that some of u are naturally cautious of not helping me out, but some of u are downright ignorant.
