Dull ache either side of my back......any ideas ??

Woke up at about 2am this morning with a dull ache in my back. It is still there now, seems to be on both sides of my back and is making me feel a bit queasy now.

Any ideas ??

Oh err not sure, yeah i think it is in that area.

It's making my whole back ache now cos i think i'm tensing it up.

kidney infection maybe? drink water (cranberry juice very good for this too) and see doc although do not drink much water just before seeing doc as s/he will need a urine sample

Been docs, she's sent a urine sample off, but said she didn't think it was an infection but that I'd somehow strained my back.

Is feeling a bit better now, so hopefully it will clear up soon.

I used to have back pain in my lower back to the sides when I was really over weight. It returned recently and was constant. I am not that over weight now and have since realised it was stress. I was convinced i'd strained something but no, stress alone.
