DS 10 has a pea sized lump behind his left nipple which hurts to touch.

What would you think it is?

I have tried to log on to our Dr surgery to book an appointment but it seems to be down this evening, bloody thing.

Well I am a man who has this issue.

It I believe is normal. It is breast tissue developing. I had mine checked ages ago and they told me it was fine.

so get it checked but chances are its okay.

Oh my god Maninadirndl, thanks for that, it's exactly what I wanted someone to say!

I am winding myself up into a bit of a tizz about it.

The fact that I made you feel better made ME feel better!

No need to get all tizzy about it., It|s called male breast tissue and it occurs to men sometimes. He may not develop titties but he may have a swelling behind the nipple. That|s what I have and I do not worry about it. I did a lot of swimming when living in the Arabian Gulf and it was zero problem.

But still get the thing checked. I also had one family jewel bigger then the other but the doc told me it was okay. Hope that|s not TMI.

I didn't know boys got actual breast tissue.

I was listing the logistics of getting him into hospital for biopsies etc so the idea that it is likely to be a little 'moob' issue is a huge relief.

I will get him checked out nonetheless.

That is just not even in the same hemisphere as TMI - have you not read any of the mooncup threads to name but one topic...

Thanks again. I can go to bed now instead of scaring myself silly with google searches.

God zou have no idea how nice I feel inside at giving zou that information! My self esteem is generally low but if I can help a person feel better i also feel better.

Mooncups? That|s a closed book to me. Certain parts of this site are not for me which I respect. No real idea what thez are but don|t zou have to have good aim to pee into these cups?

I spent time before family life happened to me here in Germany in nudist areas sunbathing and was amazed at how different human bodies are and how we only see a fraction of the variation they all have in the media. Couldn|t have wished for a more deeroticizing experience!

I had this when I was 10 - a pea sized lump behind my nipple, and my mum took me to the GP. I'm female, but I remember at the time the GP said it was breast tissue and that boys could get it too. I remember that really distinctly because I thought it was funny! And it was two years before I had any other significant breast development.

Obviously get it checked out, but in the meantime, try not to worry

How did it go at gp? My ex had these lumps in both his breasts and had them removed at 19 as they were quite apparent x

Bit of an update - the Dr checked his lump and his testicles and reckons its just hormonal but he wants us to go back in 3 months to see if there is any change.

He mentioned that surgery to remove could be an option later on but at the moment the lump is very small and not causing a problem.

DS was a bit horrified when the Dr pulled on the latex gloves and asked him to drop his trousers

Thanks again everyone.
