I feel horrible and achey, only slightly raised temp. Getting a sore throat and dry cough. DD been ill, but just had extremely high temp and complained of sore throat, was better in a few days though. She is tough as old boots, i on the other hand suffer from full blown "man flu"

I just need to sit this out half hoping swineflu and im getting it out of the way.

Or should i be informing someone? Sending DD to nursery etc

How long have you been ill?

I started feeling ill on Thursday morning but by the end of the day couldn't stand up any more. I've been in bed since then drifting in and out of sleep with a temperature of 39 or more a lot of the time. I am feeling a lot better now so the worst only lasted a couple of days but frankly I've never felt worse.

DH called nhs direct for me and I have taken the tamiflu as dh was keen that I get better as quickly as possible as he needs to get back to work but ds went to nursery as normal on Friday (luckily dh had the day off, there is no way I'd have been able to take him) and will be going on Monday

I don't think your dd's nursery needs to know your are ill.

Well I've felt pretty bad but lots of posts on here re swine flu seem to suggest it is pretty mild for most people so maybe I just had "man flu " too

Get to bed with some painkillers as soon as you can and see how you feel in the morning.

Do you have anyone to look after your dd in case you do feel worse tomorrow?
