Peeling feet and hands - weird and a bit boak!

I have excessively peely feet, hands are also peeling. It's not normal for me. Not terribly itchy so probably not athlete's foot.

The other week I had horribly allergic reaction on hands and feet (and legs etc etc0, then hands were intensely itchy at night for a few days, now skin appears to be coming off.

ALl the same thing do you think?

Anything I can do about it? Pumice, soaking, cream? Anti-fungal???

You get peeling fingers after Scarlet fever. Did you have a rash a week or two ago? Or maybe a sore throat?

Was it definetly an allergic reaction? I only ask because I had hand foot and mouth and it presented with very similar symptoms to that.

Oh sorry I see it was on legs too. Possibly not HF and M then. However maybe if skin is damaged like that from HF&M/allergy its normal for it to peel? In the same way as sunburn. I am guessing now though.

Ooh - thanks for being so quick off the mark. It might well have been HF&M I suppose, but I don't remember feeling bad in any other way. Also, I had my carpets cleaned and the rash was mostly on areas that had direct contact with the carpet - feet, hands, knees (I was assembling flat pack furniture on my hands and knees the night after they were done.)

But nobody else in my family has reacted, and they all have sensitive skin, so that's weird.

I shall try a tea tree soak, followed by athlete's foot powder and then moisturise before bed.

That should cover most of it, no?

Hmmm, don't want to worry you but my DN had Kawasaki Syndrome, which features peeing hands and feet - and is quite serious. It normally affects only young children but IIRC is an illness invlving the immune system freaking out (is on the same page as Toxic Shock Syndrome in many medical books).

Are you otherwise well?
