CHOLESTEATOMA: Anyone with experience of surgery ?

We discovered that ds was quite deaf in his left ear last July. After umpteen hospital appointments we have duiscovered he has a cholesteatoma.

He is listed for surgery to remove it, but it sounds a bit drastic, and I'm worried about it.

Can anyone tell me anything of their experiences please.

Thanks YG.

No doubt he'll sail thru it, we'll just have worried ourselves to a frazzle in the meantime.
