I'm having this done soon and will go from a G/GG cup to around a DD. Has anyone else had this op? Also how much "weight" got removed from your boobs!?

I did, lost half a stone. Hope it goes well for you.

It took me about 6months to feel normal again and I had to have physio for my back because of the shift in my posture, no-one warned me about that, my sister had it done too but didnt suffer with her back afterwards so you may be ok.

G to C (I'm a bit on the small side for my liking if i'm totally honest now but as I had it done on the NHS they said it was that or nthing and I couldn't stay how I was so I had it done, think I prefer being too small at least I can use padded bras etc.

I went from an H to a DD but then I put on weight (again) and am now an E/F. Went private and it was worth every penny!!

To be honest I don't know. The scales in the hospital were broken and I don't have any at home!!

I lost 2 stone to have it done and stupidly have put over 3 back on now. It was 3 years ago tho.

I had it done but I can't say that I lost any weight. I think that they didn't take away much tissue - just flappy, empty skin!! It did make me look much slimmer though as they were so lifted. (Went from J cup to an E/F)

It was a really good decision for me

I had it done too. The best thing I ever did. Went from an H to a D cup. Lost about half a stone.

Me too. The best thing I ever done.
Was 3 sizes bigger than a J (biggest available bra at the time). My sister had to sew thick band elastic and licra to the bottom of my bra just to hold them in. Went down to a C cup and love them now. Weight of the tissue removed (as told by the surgeon afterwards) was 11 and a half pounds.

Good luck! Just think about the day you can walk into a lingerie dept and be overwhelmed by the choice!

In theory I'd love it done as I'm a G cup. But I know that mine are largely due to weight gain so assume that's not covered. Wouldn't seriously go under the knife without good reason anyway though and they don't trouble me that much but I know some people have an awful time with their norks.

Anyway what I wanted to know is, if I had mine done, I'd want to go down to as small as possible, a C at the very biggest but preferably smaller. But some people go from a J to a G or something daft. Why bother? (genuinely interested btw not being sarky)

Eyeballs - My reduction wasn't dramatic - J to F but most of it was skin. I still wanted to have quite large breasts as I feel that they balance my shape (small waist, big hips). I know what you are saying by 'what's the point' but if I had gone down to a C cup that would have made me pear shaped. A good surgeon will advise what suits your frame.

Think for nhs bmi has to be under 25 in my area they use proportion calculators taking actual weight of breasts as proprtion of body weight
I also suffer back neck shoulder pain and rashes plus other grimness
Cannot wait!

no going too well atm (see my other thread!). had some lipo near armpits at the same time a br(this was suggested by surgeon) and he thinks a blood vessel got damaged. On one side i have severe swelling and bruising and have blood clot under one arm

Also one boob larger than the other although i know they take a while to settle so hoping this won't be a problem

Mymittens, hope you're recovering well. I just went to my GP yesterday about this and she's referred me to the nearest big hospital. Can't believe me it's taken me so many years to pluck up the courage to even do this first step. I'm 34H, stretchmarked to hell and back and I just hate my boobs so much. I'll be watching this thread to find out how your recovery goes, and what you can and can't do, in terms of lifting and stuff...and wishing you the best
