HAve had a headache / neckache for 12 days now. I never normally get headaches. Also my throat feels tender and bit swollen like swollen glands but only on one side.

Have been taking painkillers and just carrying on as normal as its not that bad.

Since Saturday, headache and sore throat have got worse and also been feeling VERY tired and struggling to stay awake sometimes.

Any ideas? Is it worth going to Doctors?

Go to the doctors. Glandular fever is a bit like these symptoms. He can do a blood test to check for it.

Sorry you are feeling so ill.

Thanks Avena.
I've already had glandular fever, can you get it twice?

You can have gf twice, but it is extremely unlikely and unusual. It is most likely some other hideous bug. Best to get checked out though. You might have developed a secondary infection and need something fo rit.

I had a bug last week that sounds v similar. Days of headaches, and sore throat. Lost my voice too but I am very, very prone to pharyngitis so voice seems to go at the drop of a hat.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Take something with anti-inflammatory properties; ibuprofen? Aspirin? < I think>
