Quick q about illness after MMR

DS had his MMR a week ago today, he is 14 months. He was fine since, but vomited a few times early this morning. Is it likely to be linked, or more likely to be the chicken I reheated from frozen for him last night?

both of mine were a bit grotty around 10-14days after mmr, more whingy/moany rather than vomiting though (in fact dd2 developed measles 12 days after her mmr!)

Hope he is okay

oh dear

chicken is looking a likely culprit

mum has already told me off

hopefully that means it will be over soon

hmm not sure if it is mmr reaction yet.
But I'm sure your chicken was fine.
Does he have a temperature?
Hopefully he'll be okay again soon. It is always a worry when they aren't well.

36.4 so no temp
He had D&V for about 8 weeks a little while ago, I'm hoping we're not going back to that...

Also a 14 month old can get bug from anywhere. My 16 month old goes outside and picks up the bread I've thrown out for the birds to eat and I've caught him hoking in the bin for food...you would think I never fed him! Talk about BLW!

Did you find out what was causing the D&V?

Well they decided it was rotavirus but then a stool sample showed nothing. He then had an infection for about a week and was on ABs. Apparently though it was all just normal
He was in nursery though and the bug kept coming after he'd been, he'd get better, go back and get it again. We removed him permanently in May (he started a new one last month) and he's been fine since.

That must have been so stressfull! My little ones were all really ill with D&V when we went to Pakistan for 5/6 weeks. It was horrible, they took it in their stride but I found it really upsetting. My precious cherubs getting all thin!

I don't blame you for changing his nursery.

Anyway I always tell myself that it is good for them to build up their immune system with all these bugs.

Vomiting is a noted side effect of the MMR. So it's possible.

SS yes that's it, he was never chubby, and then losing weight...awful, isn't it?
Really yurt? Might be linked then! Typical that ny DS would get the vomiting!

Think diarrhoea is more common tbh. It's at a slightly funny time for a reaction so a bug might be more likely. I think there's quite a few around at the moment.

My dd had high temp, really loose stools and had the viral rash after the mmr.
