Weird rash on ds's hand

Ds came out of school the other day and said he felt cold with a bit of a sore throat. He seeemd to have a slight temp (nothing too much). This morning he has a rash on his hand which looks like a scald all over the back of his hand - he says it hurts a bit and has run it under cold water for a while but its still there. It isnt raised at all and when pressed the skin goes creamy coloured again only for the redness to come back immediately after releasing pressure.

took ds to school today and the teacher said she thought it looked like ringworm! so popped him to the docs and the nurse concurred!!! my son has ringworm!!!!! how common is this. I am horrified

Jampots, it's pretty common. Do you have a cat? Because it's quite common in cats and easily passed to humans - so if you do have a cat, get the cat checked out as well!

It's not a worm, it's a fungal infection and easy to treat.

no cats here - just a bunny whom ds doesnt really touch. DD goes riding but ds again doesnt touch the horses even when he does come to the stables..
