have you had a blood test recently ... you could have a low iron count .. is very worth going to the doctor to rule that out (simple blood test)

sorry about the mc

Sorry to hear of you mc and that you are feeling so tired.
i'd see a Gp in case your iron levels are low or anything, can't hurt to pop along and see what he says.

Meanwhile go down to health food shop and see what they say.

i take Well women capsules, cold liver oil, and echineccia.
if had a hectic weekend or something I take berrocca.

Make sure you're eating well, lets of veg, esp greens like spinach etc.

Drink lots of water.

HTH.

sorry to hear you are feeling grotty

This is a phrase I churn out on threads like this: Go to the GP and ask to have your thyroid function tested. Underactive thyroid leaves you feeling permanently drained and exhausted and the treatement is very very simple

Have you thought of using a lightbox? I think we all suffer somewhat from SAD (seasonal affected disorder) at this time of year. I know you can hire them so wouldn't have to fork out lots of money if it didn't work.

I am nagging my sister to try one as she suffers from bouts of depression - especially in winter.

Definitely have thyroid checked.

Don't take an iron supplement without consulting your GP.
Excess iron can cause your symptoms, any many other problems.
Naturally occurring excess iron is very common and can eventually cause damage to major organs.
A blood test will find out (ferritin count).
I'd also be wary of taking vitamin tablets without discussing it with him/her first.

I was very tired before I started multi-vitamins which I now rely on for energy.
I used to sleep 1-2 hours in the afternoons before school runs. Not any more! I need less sleep and am getting much more done, I also feel more positive about life generally.
A friend introduced me to Melaleuca's multi vitamins which have a patented delivery system, they combine a fructose molecule with a mineral and the cell recognise the sugar and absorb the minerals so vitamins can also be utilised. I had tried other vitamins before, but always gave up as I felt no different.

Are you drinking enough water? If you don't, that could be making you feel very tired. I recently have been having the same problem, and the GP sent me for blood tests. My gym (on the one occasion I have had the energy to go) had a leaflet on tiredness, and the water thing was listed. I have noticed I feel perkier on the days that I have drank the regulation 8 glasses!
