A friend of mine visited the specialist at the hospital yesterday and had a camera (can't remember what it's called) put down her throat.
She has large lumps on her tonsils and the specialists are not sure what they are. They have scheduled her in to have her tonsils removed in February, but she is concerned mainly because of her age, she is 58. She's worried that she won't make a quick recovery. They've told her she will be in overnight, out the next day and 2 weeks to recouperate, but she is not convinced because of her age.
Does anyone have any experience of this please?
