Had covid vaccine today. Feel awful. Took paracetamol last at midnight. Have horrific headache and paracetamol not touching it. Can I take my migraine meds now? I don’t think they are an actual pain killer are they??

Temp is 38.1 despite regular paracetamol and I feel so, so sick. Been freezing cold for the last few hours and now I’m boiling. Have given up in bed, have had 2 hours sleep abs been laying awake for 2.5 hours so have got up. I know it will pass, I just want to sleep Sad

Yes you can, hope it works. Maybe try an ice pack on your head too and drink some mint tea

Thanks. I can’t keep up with the hot and cold. Wrapped in dressing gown blanket and hot water bottle and then so hot and stripping off and then freezing again. I don’t know if the nausea is from the head ache or the jab. I have read that can be a side effect of the jab.

There’s no reason why I can’t take night nurse after the covid jab is there? I can’t take ibuprofen or aspirin and night nurse also helps me sleep. That won’t cause any issues will it?

I still feel shocking and was hoping by now I would start to feel better Sad can’t get my temperature back down despite flannel as still 1.5 hours off being able to take paracetamol

Don’t take night nurse with paracetamol, light clothes while your temp is high but no cold sponging or fanning.

I know night nurse has paracetamol so wouldn’t take the two together, I meant instead of: I’m glad I did as it helped me sleep! I’m feeling more human today thanks. Was awful Thursday night and yesterday. Today I’m tired, a bit head achy and feel a little sick but can function. I’m obviously grateful to have had the jab but glad to feeling better today!
