Anyone wear a dental night guard?

Hi there Smile

Random question but as the dentist is only open for emergencies and this isn't an emergency I thought I'd ask on here...

Does anyone wear a nightguard and find that in the morning they can see an imprint on their gums where the night guard has been? Just wondering if this is normal?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

I wear one and it feels sort of tight when I put it on, but no marks, and it is actually quite comfortable. I've worn this particular one for just over a year.

I've worn one for years and they're not meant to be uncomfortable or leave marks.

I wear retainers. Tight when they go on. Comfy by morning. No gum issues. When I first got them, after braces, the dentist said to come back for adjustment if they started rubbing. They never have.

M8nrs quite tight. Feels odd when I put 8t in and for s short whole in the morning when I take it out.
It's kind of a relief to take it out in the morning. Like taking off a tight bra you've had on all day.

My guard is for when my TMJ flares up. So i only wear it a few nights running then leave it fir a while.

Thank you for your responses 🙂 I called my dentist in the end as was worrying about it (I have an implant, after losing a front tooth after an infection when I was pregnant with my son, so I do worry about my teeth especially now I am pregnant again) and she's happy to see me next week to check it 🙂 Thanks everyone.

I don’t get an imprint on my gums from my retrained, although it is tight when I put it on sometimes and feels OK in the morning. Although soemtimes it can feel physically painful to have it on some nights Hmm
