Had an upper right hand wisdom tooth extracted a week ago. I keep thinking it's improving and then I have an off day. It's a bit sore again today, doesn't feel like it's in the socket, more at front of the gum reaching high up. The dentist mentioned something about possible sinus issues afterwards, could it be that? It feels sore when I press on the gum and there's a feeling of pressure and bit of throbbing pain. I'm still doing salt water rinses regularly and corsodyl occasionally. There's still a big hole where the tooth was as I'm pretty sure the clot (or some of it at least) fell out. Spoke to the dentist about that the other day and she said it probably isn't dry socket as I'd be in agony, which I'm not.
I'm conscious that it's been a week now and I'm still having some pain, I wish I could just get a quick appointment with the dentist to check it over but obviously we can't do that at the moment, which isn't helping my anxiety about the whole thing. I didn't have any issues after my left side ones were taken out 8 years ago but had issues with dry socket and infection after having a lower molar out a couple of years back so I'm wary.
I've had problems for nearly all of lockdown with this bloody tooth and it's really getting to me now so if anyone can advise that would be great.
