weird recurrent stomach bug thing

anybody else suffering the same?

Full background: back in late Feb/early March, 2 siblings at my children's daycare were off for 2 weeks with some sort of vomiting and diarrhoea bug. A week or so later, I got something weird which my husband and daughter didn't get but my son did - he vomited, but I just got chills, nausea, stomach cramps, fatigue and diarrhoea. I slept it off through one day and was fine. However in the weeks since, I keep getting the same thing again on and off. I'll be absolutely fine for 2-3 weeks, then I get nausea, followed by a cramping pain in the upper abdomen that feels like trapped wind, bloating, diarrhoea and sometimes accompanied by chills.

Does anyone else have a similar experience? My friend is having similar problems and she says she knows a bunch of people in the same boat. We live in Berlin, Germany, but we now know all too well how these bugs travel around. Someone has suggested to me it could have been covid as I did get a dry cough a week after the first symptoms. Seems unlikely to me though.

If anybody is having this and has seen a doctor who has shed some light on it, let me know. As a certified hypochondriac whose mother died not that long ago of cancer, I'm always anxious about the looming spectre of the disease, so if there's a more prosaic explanation for this odd recurrent illness I'd love to hear it.

Did you ever get an answer for this? I’ve got something similar. Dr not bothered at all really!
