Feeling a little concerned

Back in 2011/2012 I had pain deep up inside my right armpit, with swelling through the entire arm right down to my fingers. Doctors took 6 months after passing me around to find I had a blood clot in my upper right thorasic. Because it took them so long to diagnose it they left it as it was too late to clear it and I had bypass veins doing all the work. I was left with permanent swelling and prominent veins showing on my chest.
I can't wear certain types of tops any more because many sleeves are too right.

Earlier this week I had a little discomfort deep inside my right armpit again but didn't think much off it until now. I'm getting discomfort again inside my right armpit. It's not unbearable and seems to be intermittent and infrequent.

I don't know whether to call my GP or just monitor it. I don't want to burden anyone and take away essential care from those who need it, especially with the NHS being stretched right now.

The NHS aren't stretched. Ring your bloody GP.

Oh my god call your GP. They are still working. My sons been sent to hospital recently for tests and scans because our Doctor said he needed to be seen properly.
Please call them as they should be able to give you a telephone appointment at least and may even ask you to go to your local hospital given your history. In which case try not to worry. I was beside myself with worry bit its handled extremely well. We had to walk to various parts of the hospital and ended up in xray with covid patients being wheeled past us.
Please look after your self

Hope everything is ok

I have other health issues going on currently and I'm under a neurologist, I had a phone consult with him last week. However this wasn't an issue until this week.
I'm very reluctant to go into hospital right now with the current global situation, I'm sure you can understand that.
The discomfort has subsided for now.

I can understand that why you’d be worried about it, but hospitals are taking precautions to ensure that people who have or are suspected of having coronavirus don’t come into contact with people who don’t eg different entrances, dedicated waiting areas, staff working in a covid area or non-covid area and not swapping between the two etc. If it flares back up please don’t hesitate to get medical help.

I don’t mean to scare you but it obviously if this is another blood clot it is potentially fatal. You need to go to A and E and be seen, even with everything going on right now, that’s the message they’ve been giving out all along.
Please get yourself seen.
