I've really hurt my arm/shoulder and I'm not sure what to do.

About 3 weeks ago, I woke up with a mild ache in my right shoulder, like someone had wrenched it, nothing major, I carried on with life, using it gently and stopping when it got painful.
For the last week it's gotten drastically worse, it's now constantly throbbing in my bicep area, I can't lay down or move it, I have mild weakness that side and the pain is so bad I've not slept in 3 nights. I'm at the stage of sobbing which is rare for me.
Ibuprofen and paracetamol aren't touching the pain at all.
It's not disfigured in anyway do not dislocated but when I move it it doesn't feel stable in the socket.
I have joint hyper mobility syndrome so I'm no stranger to painful joints but this is a crazy new level.
I don't know what to do, call the gp who aren't doing face to face appointments, there's no minor injuries near me and if I went to a&e DH would have to drive me with our 4 kids and DS is shielding.

Obviously you must get this checked out. Why not get a taxi to A&E

Start by calling your GP and explaining. Then if you have to go to a and e then DH can drive you with the kids but stay in the car. He can either pick you up or you can get a cab home.

NHS Samitarians App? I wonder if someone else could drive you to hospital.

I'll call the GP and ask their advice if I can get through.
I was reluctant because I don't think there's anything that can be done in a&e, I assume I must have trapped a nerve if something.

I have had 2 telephone consults and a trip to hospital since lockdown. I am shielding.
It was really well organised at the hospital, the telephone consultations were really helpful.
I wore mask and gloves to go to hospital, DH dropped me at the door.
We drove straight home afterwards, I stripped off and had a shower, washed clothes. He did the usual hand washing, washed door handles etc.
I think if DC are safe in the car and everybody washes hands and changes clothes on return that is as much as you can do.
Keep car windows open.
