For the last week I've been experiencing stomach cramps. They feel very similar to period pains (which I don't often suffer from). Low down in my abdomen, above my pubic bone, and the pain travels down one or both my legs too.
The pain has got worse over the last couple of days, and I'm having to keep topped up on paracetamol.
I'm also experiencing an increased amount of discharge, to the point where I need to wear a sanitary pad for it.
I'm not due my period for another week, so it's unlikely to be because of that and period pains are not something I've suffered with before.
It's worth mentioning I have the copper coil, which I've had for just over a year.
The other thing is, the pain often leads to quite loose bowel movements as well. So I'm not sure if that's a symptom or side effect of whatever is causing this in the first place. My DM has Crohn's.
I've been hesitant to call the doctor about it, do you think I should? I'm conscious of not wanting to put them under more pressure than they currently already are.
Sorry for the long post, didn't want to drip feed. Would be really grateful for any advice to words of wisdom.
