Knee pain

Thank you both, I know no one can diagnose on here I just wondered if anyone had experienced similar or could point me in the right direction.
I could see my GP but it's a long long wait for non emergency appointments and I don't want to waste one just to be sent away.
I'd rather just find myself someone specialised who might know more if that's the better course of action.

That's how my knee was. I now have arthritis - I had an athroscopy which helped.

I'm not a gp so your knee pain could be something totally different.

You are young but it does sound like it could be arthritis tbh. Yes starting with a physio as it's a joint issue is a good idea but it's a great shame you can't see your GP.

Hi,
I've had a clicky knee for a few years, it clicks on every step I take but wasn't painful apart from aching occasionally. I put it down to possible misalignment as it's the same side I had terrible hip pain on when I was pregnant that has never been 100% since.
Anyway, it's gotten progressively worse recently, when I bend my leg you can hear crunching. It's now constantly aching and is tender to touch. My other knee has started to click and ache a bit now too. Both legs feel heavy and achey and it's getting increasingly hard to crouch down and get back up again. I feel like my legs are going to give way and it's painful.
I'm not sure what to do, or if it's worth investigating. I'm mid thirties, could this be some kind of arthritis or more likely soft tissue? I'm thinking of looking into seeing a physiotherapist would that be the right person to see? My GP is hard to get in with and not generally very helpful/keen to refer on.
TIA
