Why haven't I had another AF?

I had my first AF in July, six months after giving birth to DD2. I was expecting another AF in August, but still no sign of it. Is this normal? I'm not pregnant! Have started panicking that it's early menopause. Is it normal to not be regular straight away?

I think it is pretty normal to be irregular after the birth, maybe you could just try and enjoy not having them for a while?

If your periods were irregular in nature before hand they may well go back to this irregular pattern. Often its due to hormonal imbalances, a condition called polycystic ovaries can be responsible for irregular and or absent periods.

I would speak with your GP if you're really worried; a blood test can be done to see what your hormone levels are like. Would in any case seek proper medical advice.

I want another baby soonish. I've always been regular and predictable in the past...
