Anyone's son had nipple lump?

I need some reassurance this will be ok or us more likely to ok then not. My son 12 has had a lump behind one nipple since about October. We are going back to GP for review and maybe referral if they think it warrants it. I'm trying to google puberty/ nipple lump and not just nipple lump - all roads lead to horrible stuff on Google. I think it's likely puberty related as he's developed and grown a lot recently. But I'm scared. Anyone else had this?

Super common around puberty (I'm a GP). See your GP to be on the safe side but 99.99% chance that it will be due to puberty hormones and will go away by itself.

My husband is 45 and we’re going to a rapid referral breast clinic on 6 Feb due to him finding 2 v Small hard lumps above nipple. After that I’ve read about something called Gynecomastia which is nothing to worry about and seems very much what you’ve described.

My husband’s lumps don’t seem to fit that so we’re petrified!

My son has these and he's nearly 12. I assumed normal.

My DS had the same at a similar age. We went to GP but told it was normal. He is now 28 and no ill effects.

Ds2 had this during early puberty and they went away, almost certainly it's fine but you are doing the right thing in seeing GP.
