Just that really. DD who's 17 will have surgery for a ruptured ligament in a couple of months. She's having physiotherapy in the meantime.
The NHS website is quite good - on crutches and in pain weeks 1-2, starting to gain mobility weeks 2-3, feeling much better from week 6. Is this realistic for a fit and healthy young person? Any possible/common complications I should be aware of? Of course I should be asking the surgeon all these questions, but our appointment with him yesterday was cancelled at the last minute and we now have to wait a few weeks for the next available. In any event I'd like to hear about a real life experiences of this.
Would be grateful for any input as I just don't know what to expect.
