Verbal and written report of ultrasound for gallstones different

I went for an ultrasound and during it I was told I had gallstones 'lots of them'. Telephoned the GP today for the report and was my gallbladder is normal. I just wonder if anyone had any ideas why this could happen before I contact my GP. My last appointment with my GP wasn't great.

You can have a normal gallbladder with stones in it.

@Greybeardy - I didn't realise that. Feedback I had when I telephoned for my result was 'normal'.

You need to speak to the person who ordered the scan - they’ll be able to interpret it properly in the context of whatever they found that made them order it. ‘Normal scan’ and ‘normal gallbladder’ (which is what you put in the first post) are not quite the same thing.
