Genital herpes outbreak - every bloody year at this time...

After never having had an STD, two years ago in late October I had a flu jab and promptly had an outbreak of genital herpes. I was told that it was the type transmitted from cold sores and unlikely to return.

Sure enough, at this time every year since I get a bloody outbreak!

Is it the weather?! What on earth is going on? Anyone else similarly afflicted or am I just weird?

Obviously I know the herpes wasn't CAUSED by the flu jab Hmm

Thanks for your helpful comment though, much appreciated...

You got me thinking. Had a flu jab 6 weeks ago; shingles attack 10 days later. ( shingles being herpes zoster)
I have a pretty crap immune system after chemo so I have been wondering if the flu jab just tipped me over the edge.
So maybe you too are a bit run down at this time of year and that’s what triggers it.
