Is this normal? The actual tooth and the area around doesn’t feel too bad. Just a little tender and swollen. But a few times a year I get terrible headaches, ear ache, generally feeling weak and unwell. Dentist said it’s an infection and to use corsodyl. Anyone else had this?

It wipes me out for a week or two and the headaches are awful.

Bearable pain around the tooth but hurrendous symptoms?

Are you sure it's not sinus pain? When I get sinusitis my teeth hurt but actually it's the cavity above them, my ears ache as the tube connecting my ears to nose gets blocked and I obviously get the terrible head throbbing when moving my head! It's so not fun but I find decongestants, steroid nasal spray and antihistamines all help.

I'm having my wisdom tooth out today because I've been getting pain like you describe, I just hope it solves it. 😩

Thank you both. @busterGonad.. does it make you feel spun out too? Like light headed and my eyes hurt as well as the banging headache.

Good luck @SureTry. I Am sure it will help. I’ve been back to the dentist a few times who are reluctant to refer me for a removal. Mainly because the pain isn’t too bad around the tooth (just a little swollen and tender) but it’s the other symptoms. I will go back again!

The dentist didn't remove it in the end, I'm being sent back to try a mouth guard because my pain seems to be all around my mouth and I don't have the tenderness around my wisdom tooth like you describe. It all seems like a bit of a mystery but when it flares up, it is horrible 😔
