Acid reflux two years after having a baby

Hi mums I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice, I had acid reflux when pregnant quite badly which went after giving birth, my baby was quite big and I’ve got some separation of my stomach muscles still two years later and my ribs are wider now. I cannot get any strength back in my stomach muscles and have back ache most days. when I have to carrry my 2 year old it gives me terrible acid reflux for days later, I’ve been prescribed omeprazol and then lanzoprazol and take peptic/gaviscon? Has anyone else had this problem with acid this long after having their baby and how do you get your stomach tone back? sit ups and crunches make the reflux worse? Thank you x

What dose lanoprazole are you on? I have a chronic illness where reflux is a big issue. Mine didnt settle until i took 30 mgs twice a day long with 100mgs of ranitidine x2. Have you had a barium swallow or a camera down?

Thanks for your reply they gave me 20 omeprazol then changed to 30 lansoprazol just one a day and take gaviscon or peptac as needed, but just doesn’t seem to improve, I had a camera down about 7 years ago but no hiatus hernia but it settled Down. Since I had the baby I’ve not had another camera down or anything but it’s allot worse than it was years ago. I feel like it’s never going to be normal, was yours worse after kids redannie118 ?
