Hello there,
I'm 36 and in the grip of a bit of health anxiety. For most of my adult life, my periods have been pretty regular - a 27 or 28 day cycle every month. Since having kids they're very light, just one day of moderate bleeding and 2 days of basically spotting.
Back in May I noticed ovulation pains exactly a week after a finished my last period, and I got my period 2 weeks later. The next was normal. Spooked, I went to see my gynaecologist - my mum died last summer of ovarian cancer, and I'm now hyper-aware of my body and any changes in it. The doctor took a pap smear and did an ultrasound to look at my ovaries and womb, and found an endometrial polyp which she says is benign and doesn't need removal.
This month I've felt ovulation a week early again though. Is this the polyp? Has anyone else experienced early ovulation due to a polyp? Is it a thing? I've read they can cause irregular bleeding, but it's not clear whether this is due to irregular ovulation.
Help! I'd like to stop panicking. I feel that I'm too young for the menopause and I really want this to be the work of the polyp. Any advice or experiences would be welcome!

Early periods - endometrial polyp, or perimenopause? Any experiences with either?
