Blood clot in the lung

Hello,

I’m not sure if anyone can help me or even if this is the relevant section to add this.

I have been diagnosed with Pulmonary embolism (which is several small clots in your lungs) and have been told to inject myself with 160mg of clexane (which is a blood thinner). I am so worried/ anxious/ scared about this diagnosis. I am also 26 weeks pregnant.

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice or if anyone has had any similar experiences?

Thank you x

I am not a doctor and don’t know but have just been chatting to someone who developed multiple PEs after breaking his leg. He had to take blood thinning medication for 6 months. He is fine now with no further issues. Hopefully the same will be true for you.

Someone posted sensible advice in your other post yesterday. Your midwife/obstetrician/GP will all be in a better position to advise you (given that they’ll be aware of any additional risk factors you may/may not have & your test results).

Hi i hope you're doing well? Are you still in hospital? I had a blood clot in my lung many years ago. I was injected with clexane for first few days and then put on warfarin for 6 months. I was only in hospital for 3 days but off work for a few months I struggled with fatigue a lot after.
