Think DD may be allergic to plasters, how do I find out?

It seems mean to stick them on her to check, but may pay off in the long run. She's due to start nursery a couple of afternoons a week in October, and they need to know.
She hasn't had a plaster before, but stuck a sticker on her tummy the other day for an hour or so, and had a small rash there for a couple of days.

Hi Beenleigh, I am allergic to sticking plasters and so is DS. I usually get these, they stick better than Micropore tape:

1ust becasue she might be allergic to stickers doesn't mean she's allergic to plasters. I would stick a bit of one on her somewhere where she can't fiddle with it and see what happens!

I am allergic to plasters inc micropore and to a lesser extent stickers and cellotape - even the sticky tabs on nappies irritated me so I personally wouldnt risk putting a plaster on her. However the ones in the link look good so maybe try one of those and see rather than a normal plaster.

Not yet needed to give DS one yet but always wondered if he would be allergic as well - sure when he starts school in September he'll have a few bumps on the playground and we'll find out.

Out of interest Ediemay, are you allergic to the micropore as well but not the ones in the link?
