Anyone ever randomly got a bad bout of anxiety (well that's what I think it is) where you're ontop of the world one month, then bottom the next and every darn mornin you have butterflies, feel so nervous you feel scared something awful is happening or going to happen, like your running out of road ( all of this is in bed btw!) And it stays with you, slowly eases over the day, makes you feel tearful, still feel nervous in the evening and diorrhea in the morning to. I'm a strong confident youngish woman or I thought I was, 31yrs, professional etc. Wtf is going on?!? I've had a few emotional upsets but didn't think they'd cause this? Anyone else suffer like this?!

This is the perfect way to describe my anxiety. It’s like my mind goes:
Mind: Time to worry!
Me: oh, but everything seems great!
Mind: yeah but what if.....
Me: oh fuck

Evening primrose oil and CBT has helped hugely Flowers

Most people with anxiety feel exactly like that the first few times it happens. It's often compounded by people dismissing them as 'snowflakes'.

See your GP. They can rule out any physical causes and then start looking for things to relieve it through medication and/or talking therapies. In many places, you can also self refer to IAPT (Google IAPT + your area to find out) and you could have access to online resources, telephone or in person therapies and workshops.

In the meantime, keep an eye on your caffeine consumption (knock it on the head if you can, it's easier to eliminate it first, so you can see whether it's an influence), try to eat healthily and regularly so blood sugar drops aren't affecting your mood and try these tips for getting through an anxiety attack;

Get down low. Sit on the floor, preferably with your back against a wall. Or lay down on the floor with your feet drawn up so your knees are bent.

Try to concentrate on the feeling on your back. You're supported, you aren't going to fall over. And try to gently blow your breath out like you're blowing out a candle. It's hard at first, but it's easier to focus on slowing the out than it is controlling the in breath. And keep doing that until you feel better.

When you get up, do it slowly and use furniture/the wall to help you up.

Thanks MitziK xxx it's not got to panic attacks yet thankfully.
Teeny tiny voice it doesn't seem to be cyclical though, I came off the pill in November and not had this before. I was on anti ds but came off them in Jan as we're thinking of ttc but not started yet. I was perfectly happy at that point. Its a bit late for withdrawal now at the end of April.

I was going to say these can sometimes be symptoms of the menopause but you're too young. Worth getting it checked out tho

Haha whywonttheyletmeusemyusername thisnis exactly what my mother said, although she went through it at 38/39/40 just after she had me 😥 went to gym it out, doesn't seem to have made much difference but will see in the morning. Although bought kalms, will give it a few weeks on those then if nothings changed will find the doctor. My cycles are 40 ISH days qnd only 2/3 days long 😞
