Ds finished abs on thursday. Last night he was up most of the night coughing and he's very wheezy this morning and got a gammy eye
I've doubled up on steriod inhalor and upped his ventolin to 5 puffs every four hours. At what point if any would you call doctor.
Also i've got prednisolone at home incase of emergancy would you use them?

we double brown (preventer) and use 2 puffs of blue four times a day. go to GP/a7e at any point when you are worried. once we got there only to get alecture about how dangerous it is to leave until you are really worried

i'd call the emergency dr and ask if you should start the pred? is he breathing from his tummy, really sucking it in??

The only thing is that if he still has a bacterial infection, that will get worse if he starts on steroids, so even more reason to see a doctor. (Even though he probably does need the prednisolone for the asthma IYSWIM).

He breathing quite fast about 40 per minute but doesn't seem to be in too much distress just quiet lying on setee

I've got a nebuliser would you try that.

I hate it when they are ill at the weekend and my dotors puts you straight through to nhs direct and they will just send me to a&e

And to top it all off dp is away on his stag do.

Is he only able to lie quietly on the settee? Could he get up and walk about normally if he wanted to?

If not, I'd get him seen straight away.

He can walk about but I don't think he can be bothered. He just followed me in to the kitchen.
