Hi there, just looking for advice or maybe reassurance about a mole. I have a mole on my back that has always been there, quite close to a bra strap. Just a normal mole, round, light brown, smooth surface. A week ago I noticed it was harder, darker and raised a bit. I rubbed at it and the top flaked off, leaving a normal smooth mole underneath. I freaked a bit (have HA) and immediately hot footed it to the GP. She had a look and said it was 'nothing scary, like cancer' most likely surface irritation because of where it is and gave me fusidic acid to use. She said if there were any changes to size, shape or any bleeding I should go back. I have been keeping a (very!) close eye on it since and it was smooth for a couple of days then seemed to go hard and flake off again. This has happened twice now. It hasn't changed in any other way but the fact that it keeps scabbing/healing seems a bit odd. Does anyone have any experience of this? I feel I am at the GP every other week at the moment and don't really want to go back as it hasn't changed in any of the ways she mentioned. Health Anxiety is through the roof at the moment. Thank you.
