Took Ds to doctors at nine as he woke up wheezing like a trouper took one look at him and phoned an ambulance said he was having a bad asthma attack

I had given him all his meds this morning.

GP put him on nebuliser whilst we waited for ambulance who then put him straight on oxygen cos sats were only 88% he looked so ill.

Well after spending the day in hosp ds has improved loads his sats were 96% all afternoon so they have let us home with strict instructions to go straight back if he gets worse.

You must still be running on adrenalin!
I hope you can relax this evening now he is better.
Have they given you instructions for this evening?
It is always worse first thin in the morning isn't it?
I often get woken by Darth Vader sounds first thing in the morning.

He's got a nebuliser at home so i've got to give him it every 4 hours and they have given him prednisolone. He's asleep on the setee

He's still really wheezing but the nebs are lasting every four hours (just) so fingers crossed we get to stay at home.
