So post baby 2 and most importantly my disasterious encounter with the contraceptive injection, I am a stone heavier than I need to be and my tummy looks like a map of london with absolutely no tone to it whatsoever. I have a wrinkly belly button and its gross.

Seriously can someone tell me the best way to tone up my tummy and get rid of the stretch marks(if thats even possible)

Thanks

lol I dont think I would go for that even if I could afford it. To be fair dh and I and the children have taken to going on bike rides every evening, but there must be some sort of exercise I can to to work on my tummy specifically

sit ups. You need to do them correctly, using your stomach muscles. you'll know you're using your stomach muscles because they'll ache.

Build up in groups of ten, every night.

I had a physio therapist show me how to do sit ups properly.

This combined with a healthy diet should help.

Take up running. You need to increase your cardiovascular activity to rid yourself of the flab. You also need to engage your core ab muscles. I have the Pilates Abs workout DVD and it is brilliant for engaging core muscles. It last 30 minutes so you give your abs a good work out. You can buy it from Amazon. Also, reduce the excess fat in your diet too.

Good luck!

How long has it been? My dd is now two and my stomach now looks fine (recently lost about 20lbs). it used to be quite wrinkly.

I have exactly the same problem, and am really concious of it.
If I have a flabby tummy though and then do the abs workout or situps will this not then tone the fat. Do we need to get rid of the flab first?

2sprogsmum. You tone muscle not fat. If you want to see the tone muscle, you need to get rid of the fat and the only way to do that is through dieting. Increasing the amount of cardiovascular exercise you do will help you lose the fast more quickly too.

Strivectin-SD really works on stretch marks if you use it every day.
