Should I put dd back on formula?

Dd is 13 months and has just gone on to cows milk for both her bottles. Last week she had a nasty d+v that knocked her for 6.
During the d+v she was waking up 6 or 7 times a night wanting water or milk as she seemed able to keep it down then but not during the day. Now, however, she is still waking up 4 or 5 times a night and wanting a lot of milk - last night she took 12oz during the night, on top of her usual 'put-down' 9oz!
So, what I would like your opinions on is:
1.is this the effects of the d+v still lingering;
2.is she just in a routine of feeding thru the night now or
3.is the cows milk not filling enough and she is waking up hungry as a result?
I don't think I can carry on like this much longer without some sort of light at the end of it
TIA

maybe she is making up her lost calories from d and v?
try giving her more food and liquids during the day

Thanks, ntt, I have noticed that she is eating a lot more during the day. She has got thru 3 pints of milk since yesterday lunchtime!!!

I'll give it a few more days and see if she starts to sleep better.

sounds like she is making up for calories not consumed over the past few days.

i wouldnt say its anything to do with th cows milk and no need to switch back to formular.

If in a few nights time she is still waking hungry id personaly offer only water throughout the night to give her the message that you eat during the day and sleep during the night

I would just give her water during the night and try and wean that off as well. No need for formula - just gve her extra food during the day, not lots of milk.

Thanks all. I Just wasn't sure if it was the d+v or the change in milk that had caused the disrupted nights. I'll try and wean her off the night feeds.
