What the heck has bit me?!

Was at work yesterday and suddenly felt really itchy, suspected something had bitten me but thought nothing of it. Later that night itchy I felt itchy all over started so thought maybe hives. This morning I noticed 3 bites on my leg which are still so itchy and the large one is getting bigger. I feel fine in myself apart from the itching. Will they eventually just go? Is there a cream to take away the itch?
I work in an office so don't know what would have bitten me, especially through tights. I was in the garden the day before doing weeding but no itching or bites then?
Just writing this is making me itch!!!

What the heck has bit me?!

Does it have a bullseye appearance?

I had two exactly like this. No idea what but me but the itching and swelling went in a few days

I don't think it has bullseye although sort of looks a bit like it but not an obvious one

It's a flea.

Get treatment immediately. I speak from hellish experience with my younger child!!!

Why do you think it's a flea and what treatment would I need?
No one else in family is itching or has bites.
We do have a new kitten but she was fleed by vet 2 weeks ago and she isn't scratching or showing signs (our old cat caught flees and he was scratching like mad!)

Get some anthisan cream at the chemist for it. That will help with the itching, as will a regular hay fever tablet. If it gets any worse see your pharmacist

You'd feel a horsefly bite, although you don't feel them land on you.
Looks like flea bites to me too 😟

Looks like midge bites to me, not flea bites. I would just get some cream from the chemist.

Horsefly bite! I get them loads this time of year!

I have never felt a horsefly bite me but they look exactly like that. Take piriton and if the redness spreads you need antibiotics

bananafanana1 · 23/09/2017 23:52

It may be that your work carpet has fleas, not your own pets Bear

Take an antihistamine. It'll sort out the itching.

That just looks inflamed to me rather than bulls eye.

What are you using to bring it down? Piriton and anti histamine works. I cover bites with compede plasters to speed healing and stop me scratching.

Looks just like my horse fly bites I had in the summer- took a week to go down.

I've been taking my antihistamines, took two last night and still driving me mad the itching. Will nip to supermarket to see if I can get a cream of some description

Looks bullseye ish to me, I would go to the docs.

Doesn't look like a bullseye to me - google images of proper tick bite bullesyes and you'll see the difference. That just looks like a normal but very inflamed insect bite - they're often whiter in the centre where the actual bite is. Also, it's highly unlikely that the OP would be bitten by a tick in her office in tights (where would it have come from?), but horseflies are very keen on biting through thin fabric.

Anti histamine is no good without cream for bite.
