Does anyone have any experience of this? Dd was on her way out of the door at midnight last night, having taken the chain off and unlocked it. Her eyes were open and she spoke to me, but was clearly not awake/aware of what she was doing. She has no recollection of the event at all. She has wandered around the house before, but has never opened the door. It has really worried me - what if I don't hear her next time?

Yes - we keep the keys in a small cupboard. I will move the cupboard higher up the wall. I am one of those people who is paranoid about fire etc so am torn between keeping everybody locked in, but able to escape in an emergency IYSWIM. I worry too much. I am already starting to worry about brownie camp and school trips etc - maybe it is just a phase. It really gave me a fright last night though.
