Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Since last Wednesday I have been suffering with severe pain in both arms, shoulders, hands and wrists

It started in my upper left arm, then seemed to ease off the next day, then along the side of my right hand and wrist became very painful, before going back into my left arm, that night my thumb was agony and I couldn't bend it, it became swollen and was very tender to the touch

Over the weekend it was almost unbearable and the painkillers maybe took the edge off, but didn't really help

The pain is a bit easier today, but both arms are still painful, mostly in hands and wrists

I have Pernicious Anaemia and my last blood tests showed a bit of inflammation in the blood cells, do the doctor did more tests on Friday morning, and mentioned Rheumatoid Arthritis

Does anyone have any knowledge of this, or any ideas of what this pain and stiffness could be

Thankyou

I have PA too and while I don't have rheumatoid arthritis I do have another form of rheumatism as well. Autoimmune conditions do tend to come in groups unfortunately.

I find painkillers fairly useless too, I rely on heat packs and splints to cope with the pain.

I've still to get the blood tests results back from Friday, should be back tomorrow

So I'm not 100% sure of what this is, but it is relentlessly painful

I do have a splint from an old injury and some heat packs, I'll give those a go
