Heavy bleeding 6/7 days after endometriosis laparoscopy?

I had a laparoscopy exactly one week ago, and seem to come on yesterday.
The pain wasn't so bad yesterday, but today it's excruciating. Worse than before my laparoscopy, when I actually had Endometriosis and a cyst on my Fallopian tube.
It's also really heavy, a lot heavier than I've ever experienced it... And my periods are heavy!! This one just seems to have knocked me for six, and the heaviness and pain combined is making me feel really unwell - even my temp is high and it never goes above 36.5.

I know it's normal to experience a heavy and painful period after laps, but my question is how much is normal? My painkillers aren't even touching the sides, so I'm really losing the plot here!! Sad

I am no doctor but I would suspect you might have an infection. If you are still bleeding thay heavily now, I would consider calling 111. Do you have anyone with you?

I could literally write this post yesterday, I had my laparoscopy done 20 days ago and started my first period since the op yesterday.

The pain was unbearable so I can totally feel for you, even this morning after another sleepless night I was feeling sick even moving.
This evening though the pain has eased, so hopefully you will get there soon.

I found co-codamal, ibuprofen and a hot water bottle helped slightly (when I really mean slightly, the pain was awful).
I have read so much about recovery post op etc and it seems it's pretty 'normal' for the first 2 periods :(

I really hope you feel better soon, I'm sorry I don't have a miracle cure.Cake

Wonderwoo I'm currently at my parents house because of recovering, so I'm with them.
I did wonder about an infection because of how I feel. I am still bleeding heavily. It hasn't seemed to of eased - it seems to be getting worse Sad

YumLemon, thank you for your kind words and support Flowers
It sucks, doesn't it? Just feel totally at a loss because I'm in so much pain and discomfort and don't know what to do. Don't know what's normal and what's not!!

The fact that you have a temperature suggests something more than a period. If you are soaking through pads quickly, I would call 111. If it's not that bad, maybe call your gp tomorrow. Hope you feel better soon. I have had surgery for endometriosis in the past and I remember how painful it was. Flowers

Are you feeling any better today?

wonderwoo, that's what I was thinking. You don't usually get a temperature with periods, so I was thinking it could be more of an infection.
I knew it was going to be this painful, but was getting better until my period kicked in! Sad

YumLemon, not really. Still bleeding heavily and still in a lot of pain, but muddling through! Haven't been to see anybody about it because wasn't able to get in to my GP today. Going to try again tomorrow!
