Has anybody been bitten by the Nairobi fly ?

If you have ever been near one of these horrible creatures they only need to touch you to leave a poison which for me anyway leaves massive blisters. The Nairobi fly only exists in certain countries so maybe not so well known by people in the UK. Somebody looked at my blisters and said they were Bollus? Sorry I don't know how to spell it. If you have ever had this go how have you cared for the wounds and did it take you a while to figure out what was causing the blisters?

When I first showed the doctor he thought it could have been a jellyfish sting and many people had their thoughts As I was in quite world Vietnam I sent a photo to a dermatologist in the US who thought mistakenly that it was an auto immune disease. Also since I have a visual impairment and I am not steady with my hands, caring for the blisters was a nightmare. A friend's mother took care of them for me but I had about 12 at one time. I will be in the same area this year as I work There and will bring long trousers but I believe the Nairobi fly hides in your clothes as well .

They were, I could barely walk. There was actually a segment on them on the Vietnamese news because apparently last year was a very bad year for them and one hospital had up to 30 patients a day just with this. The doctor was advising people to get away if they saw them, but for me I can't see anyway so this is not an option.
