Have Graves Disease and while the symptoms weren't pleasant I felt SO much better than I do now on carbimazole.

I'm fat, lethargic, zoned out, have greasy hair for the first time in my life. Just generally feel sick and unwell and totally bloody crap 😞.

Saw my consultant last week and she suggested the possibility of lowering the dosage after my next appt in April. I know it's comes down to getting the balance right but at the minute I would gladly go back to my wired and super active and skinny old self with Graves.

Thyroid conditions suck.

Yes, I agree they do suck! (Although I am underactive). I hate the fact that I have take the medication (although I'm glad there is some) . I don't like feeling my numbers are changeable, that medical people (and gps) don't agree on the significance of the numbers, that I feel out of control.

I do feel a lot better than I did (some years down the line) but my hair is still thinner than I'd like and my weight is not what I want to be and I feel like it's 10x harder to sort than it should be, and not just about lack of willpower.

💐 but probably it shouldn't be 🍰

How long have you been on the Carbimazole? Are you on block and replace or just the Carb? It sounds as though you have gone a bit hypo and need to reduce the dosage. Always insist on a printout of your results.
I was on Carbimazole for 18 months and didn't want to come off of it. I felt fine taking it once the dose was lowered. If I have a relapse I will have to have surgery or RAI and the replacement thyroxine (which is so difficult to regulate).
