Bloods have just come back showing I have mild neutropenia. Here is the breakdown:
Total wbc count: 3.0 (normal limit 4.0-11.0)
Neutrophil count: 1.5 (normal limit 2.0-7.5)
Lymphocyte count: 1.1 (normal limit 1.5-3.5)
Flagged for no further action but I have made another appointment to discuss. I've been here before - had mild neutropenia 8 years ago during period of epic stress at work, resolved once I left my awful job.
Current background is I have 2 DC, 3 years old and 10 months, lots of contextual stress, big house move, no support/friends, partner with long term illness. Am stressed, tired but coping. Losing weight and not really feeling myself, but otherwise fine and no infections etc. I take iron, B12 and Vitamin D and this has made a big difference to energy & mood.
Anyone had this? Any ideas on how I can bring my wbc back up (other than running away to the Caribbean?) Should I be on the look out for any other symptoms/issues, and avoiding/eating certain foods?
