Sorry for long post . I was hoping for some advice please.
I started with underarm pain on Nov 25th went to see nurse , she didn't look but sent me away and told me to get a better bra.
Week later pain still there and nothing eases it also right breast aching. Went to see Doctor .He has a quick look gave me naproxen. Didn't do anything .
That weekend pain is also in ribs and shoulder blades went to walk in . she said underarm seemed puffy and gave me some fuoxcillin to try . Suggested I go to GP which I did. She said she could not feel anything and sent me away.
Two days later I found a lump in my breast near ribs . very sore to touch and made breast ache. Also by now getting severe pain in middle of chest.
Can't wear a bra .
Was referred quickly to breast clinic. Mammogram and ultrasound showed a lump which they said was fatty. Blood test showed anemia. Told to take iron and try evening primrose.
Lump still there hurts to touch , breast pain so severe and still pain in chest.
Scared to go back as they keep saying give it time . Am I being dramatic or should I be pushing for more scans? Anyone experience breast pain like this ?

I have also been on a low carb diet for 2 months and in the last day had my mirena removed thanks

Can't offer much in the way of advice, but didn't want to not respond. From people I know who've had breast cancer (which I'm guessing is what you're concerned about), their lumps weren't painful. Obviously this is only from a couple of people I know.

If you're worried, then go back to the doctor again, tell them your fears and they will reassure you. They maybe don't realise how scared you are. Good luck Smile

Thank you so much for the reply . When I went to the breast clinic they said the lump was just fat. So not cancer (but of course you always think why is it stil sore then) . Have been to the GPS so much they are probably fed up of me. But I'm in so much pain and feel like it's not getting any better xx

I've had breast cancer and was also concerned about a painful area after my treatment. Mentioned it to so many people who dismissed it and eventually went back to clinic who explained that it was glandular and that those in the know can spot a worrying lump easily.

Be reassured.

I've had something similar and it was a lymph node in my armpit. It had swollen due to a very bad infection in a cut in my finger. Had antibios and it went very quickly but was excruciating. Any cuts or possible infections anywhere? Hope it get better soon.

My blood test did show slightly raised protein which they said could be inflammation but it wasn't cause for concern x

Another possibility could be costochondritis, which is inflammation of the intercostal muscles - that can be quite painful.

I did consider this but they have never mentioned it. Is it worth going back and asking about it x

The Pain has actually got worse
Severe pain in underarm, shoulder blades, chest and ribs and tender breast. I was wondering if the lump which they said was fat was one issue and now there's another. Went to GP he sent me for a chest x-ray straight away in the same building. Also took bloods to test for D Dimer, liver and CRP (which was slightly raised a month ago. Although nurse didn't seem bothered) . He doesn't have a clue what it is. Worrying :(
