Any advice? Feeling nauseous, tummy ached, etc etc. Rang the unit and told out was normal, take some anti nausea and panadol.

Forgot to ask though, how long will it take to stop. I feel disgusting.

When was your infusion?

It will last about 72 hours if my memory serves me correctly.

I had horrendous bone aches, especially in my pelvis and sternum. That's where the type of marrow is that makes red blood cells.

If you get that, I found that Voltarol gel helped a bit and a hot water bottle. But it's just a case of sleeping or resting through the nastiness if you can.

It felt a bit like flu really. Aches, fever, shivering etc.

I hope the iron infusion helps. I found mine were definitely worth the short term discomfort Flowers

Thanks so much for answering! You're absolutely right, it started to feel better after about 48 hours and now coming up to 60 hours and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I had the same dose only 3 months ago and don't remember any effects at all. .but equally, it didn't push my numbers up enough, so maybe this one will work better - not scientific but I will cling to that idea.

Thanks again, unfortunately not able to take nsaids as might have von Willebrand something. ..Anyway, yes flu is what it's felt like and heat packs and panadol gabber helped.

I had less of a reaction with my second one. I don't know why. Third one was worst I think. But the third one really did boost my counts and got me almost into healthy haemoglobin levels for the first time in several years!

Fingers crossed this one works better for you than the last one Flowers

Shame about the NSAIDs, but hopefully you're through the worst of it now.

I keep feeling a but queasy but assume it will be worth it.

One final question; in what way did you feel better? The first one for rid of the palpitations and low blood pressure so not really sure if there's anything else to expect? Tigger's energy? !

More energy, though perhaps not Tigger levels. Also less breathlessness and a bit more colour in my cheeks!

I hope the queasiness is better today Flowers
