Heavy heavy period with clots

So it's day 10 of my period and instead of it slowing down, it just got worse.
I filled up my diva cup in 3 hours and bled all over a chair at Paul's
There is a lot of blood and clots too, mild cramping. This is my first period after stopping bf'ing my second child (13 months) but I've had regular periods since 8 weeks postpartum. I have a copper coil. Please tell me this is ok and in a day or 2 it will be over?

My first period after stopping BF was like reservoir dogs. They did settle down then. It wasn't as prolonged as yours though?

You've just made me laugh, resevoir dogs?
It was slow to start, but the last few days got heavier. Never had a period for this long. I didn't have a period in between stopping bf with my first and falling pregnant with my second so have no comparison. The heavy clots are a bit worrying or do you think that's normal?
