Doctor gave me antibiotics but said they probably won't touch it because of the cyst sac so it will get worse and need to be lanced and packed , i said I didn't want general anetesthetic but local instead , can anyone advise how painful this procedure is please ? Will I be able to cope with just local anesthetic ? And also will I be able to return to work the day after as I work as a waitress in busy restaurant so always on my feet ? Thanks in advance :)

You should be fine with a local to be honest, it stings like hell but works very quickly.

You'll have to ask their advice on work, if it is packed it will need daily dressings. It might get quite sore if anything is rubbing on it.

Thankyou bluebelle2662 , was searching everywhere on the internet and then people saying the pain is worse than childbirth so this is a bit of relief and gives me some idea of what to expect , I get myself so worked up I can't sleep . Thanks. :)
