Frequent bouts of biliary colic requiring hospital trips

How can I manage these better at home? I have no gallstones so they won't remove my gallbladder however an aunt had pancreatitis caused by 'grit' and suggests I ask about this as it can't be picked up on a scan.

Has anyone else had this before? I've got an attack brewing at the moment and have taken a lot of medication - Co-codamol, buscopan, ranitadine, gaviscon - in preparation (some of it I take regularly anyway). I can't have a hospital trip as my husband is currently in hospital and I literally have no one to mind the dc.

I could cry.
