Starting feeling nauseous on Monday.

Tuesday went to work but had to L be sent home and had D & V.

Straight to bed, sleeping. Slept pretty much from 2pm - 8am with a few get ups to drink and heave. Stomach cramps.

Since about 1am every time I get up I'm dizzy and feel drunk. Balance is off

Walked downstairs this morning and I'm holding on to walls. Thought it was because I'd not eaten had some toast and I've slept for another 6 hours. Just tried getting up again and it feels worse. I feel drunk. I've had nothing but 2 paracetamol at about 7am.

Why am I sleeping so much, why am I dizzy?

No pain apart from a headache X

DH wants me at the GP but there's no way I can get dressed and drive there.

You need to have some rehydration drinks after all the D&V. Something like dioralyte. You can mix up your own with orange juice, salt and sugar (and google) if you don't have anything like that in. Also, more fluid, lots of it, your blood pressure sounds low.

If you rehydrate and still feel drunk you should go to your GP, could be inner ear infection.

After Norovirus I felt that way- basically all of your energy, fluids and electrolytes have been depleted.
Get some Dioralyte sachets asap!! Can't tell you how much better they make you feel.
Failing that lucozade might perk you up- drink plenty of water and rest rest rest x

Can you feel your pulse in your wrist? Use your third and fourth finger to feel over the outside edge of the underside of your wrist (don't use your index finger because it has quite a strong pulse of its own). Count it for a minute. Can you feel if it's strong or faint? Are you having any breathing trouble? Do you have a fever? Are you passing urine well?

If all of those are ok, then drink fluids. Water (with a pinch of salt and a tsp of sugar in a pint) will help, or flat lemonade.
